It all started …

On September 17th, 2017, Tracey Phipps (Founder) held her first Time for Tea event at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. Her career in fashion brought her to the new city from NYC where she quickly discovered something about the women of Central Florida that was electrifying. The hustle, the mindset, the energy, and the drive to pursue an idea were unmeasurable. As a stranger to the south, she immediately felt the community of women who embraced her on her new journey. Shortly after, Tracey noticed an opportunity to bring women together to have open conversations over tea. She was on a mission to break silos because she believed that the strengths of one culture could be the solutions to the issues of another culture. However, she soon realized that part of breaking silos meant empowering women at a younger age to feel confident stepping into rooms and sitting at tables with people who didn’t look like them. So in 2020, she incorporated the Time for Tea Foundation into a 501c3 nonprofit and with her amazing team was able to launch the Time for Tea Experience, impacting girls across Central Florida and equipping them with the social and etiquette skills to succeed. Since its inception, this program has impacted over 500+ girls in Central Florida.

Tracey identifies herself as an Afro-Latina, originally from Washington DC with immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic. She is a first-generation professional who lived abroad in Japan after college before moving to NYC to pursue her career in Fashion. She is bilingual and credits her passion for diversity to her heritage and life experiences. She also loves the lord, and loves spending time with her family and her son, Malachi.
